Peningkatan Pengetahuan Masyarakat Terhadap Pencegahan Malaria di Desa Balohan Kecamatan Sukajaya Kota Sabang

Abstract


Malaria is a disease caused by the plasmodium parasite through the anopheles mosquito. In the case of plasmodium that attacks humans, they experience a lack of fluids and the number of platelets in the body. The process of occurrence of malaria is by transmitting plasmodiu through the bite of an anopheles mosquito. Symptoms of malaria appear at least 10-15 days after being bitten by a mosquito. Symptoms appear in three stages over 6–12 hours, namely chills, fever and headache, then profuse sweating and weakness before body temperature returns to normal. A TEAM of community service lecturers and students carried out activities in the form of socialization related to Malaria in Balohan Village, Sukajaya District, Sabang City, Aceh Besar. The socialization activity was carried out on June 10 2020 at Balohan Village, Sukajaya District, Sabang City, Aceh Besar. The benefits of this socialization are aimed at increasing public knowledge of Malaria prevention. The activity companion team consisted of nursing lecturers, the Sabang City Health Office and nursing students. In general, this community service activity aims to educate the public regarding the understanding, signs and symptoms of Malaria
