Gambaran Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Perilaku Merokok Pada Pendidik (Ustad) Di Dayah Modern Dan Tradisional Di Aceh

Abstract


The smoking behavior has poisoned the younger generation, including the religious teachers. They are role model who is seen as continuing religious teachings. In direct observation, the researcher saw that there were religious teachers smoking behavior, it would be a bad role model for the students, where the students would imitate their teachers to become new smokers and turn those around them into passive smokers. This study used a qualitative method with a phenomenological design. The participants in this study were 10 teaching staff. The focus of research is knowledge of the dangers of smoking, religious law factors, environmental factors, information media factors, cultural factors, and government policy factors. The results showed that the religious teachers in modern and traditional dayah understood the dangers of smoking for health, economy and the environment, but not followed by non-smoking behavior. The religious teachers in the modern dayah argued that the smoking law was makruh while the religious teachers in the traditional dayah thought that the smoking law was permissible. The environment of friends is the main initial factor that makes religious teachers in modern and traditional dayahs become smokers so that they become addicts. The information media factor does not influence the majority of modern and traditional dayah religious teachers to smoking behavior. Cultural factors do not influence the behavior of the majority of modern and traditional ustad dayahs to smoke. Weakness and lack of socialization of government policies made ustad in traditional dayah smoke free in places that should have been smoking-free areas, while ustad in modern dayahs applied rules not to smoke in smoking-free areas
