Abstract


Final Processing Site (TPA) is one of the places used to dispose of waste that has reached the final stages of waste management starting from the first time the waste is generated, collected, transported, managed and disposed of. Waste problem can be handled by managing it appropriately and correctly. Poor waste management can have a negative impact on health. This study aims to determine the effect of organic, inorganic and hazardous and toxic (B3) waste on the health of workers in the final processing site (TPA) of Gampong Jawa, Banda Aceh City. This type of research is a type of associative quantitative research. Associative quantitative research is a study that aims to determine the effect or relationship between two or more variables. In this study using Univariate, Bivariate and Multivariate analysis using SPSS software.In terms of knowledge, workers at the final processing site are good, but in terms of health, some workers are not healthy, meaning that there are still those who experience health complaints or suffer from diseases caused by garbage. The results of the effect of organic waste on health on workers with a p-value of 0.002, the effect of inorganic waste on health in workers with a p-value of 0.014, the effect of hazardous and toxic waste (B3) on health in workers with a p-value of 0.031. The waste that has the most influence on the Final Processing Site is inorganic waste.It is hoped that workers in final processing sites (TPA) pay more attention to health, maintain health by always using masks, boots and gloves when processing or being exposed to organic, inorganic and hazardous and toxic (B3) waste to prevent disease. - disease caused by garbage.
