Hubungan Penggunaan Gadget Dengan Perkembangan Psikososial Anak Usia Sekolah di SDNegeri 1 Kota Banda Aceh

Abstract


Based on survey data which is conducted by the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) in cooperation with the Association of Internet Service Providers Indonesia (APJJII), noted that internet users in Indonesia until the end of 2013 reached 71.19 million people. The survey was conducted in 78 districts / cities and 33 provinces. The number has increased in comparison with the results of the survey in 2012 that is as many as 63 million people. It mean that there was an increase of 13%, even according to surveys in Northern Sulawesi is 100% using the Computer and Internet. The use of gagdet was not only used adults or aged (22 years and over) and adolescents (12-21 years), but in children, (7-11 years), and more ironically the gadget is used for ages (3-6 years old) who should not be eligible to use gadgets. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of the use of gadgets to the psychosocial development of school age children in SD Negeri 1 Kota Banda Aceh 2017. The research design was analytic through cross sectional approach, the study was conducted on 10 - 11 January 2017. The population in this research was all the students of SD Negeri 1 Kota Banda Aceh class IV, V and VI which amounted to 288 people. The obtaining technique was proportional random sampling, amounted to 75 people. The result was obtained by statistical test using chi-square test showed that there was relationship of gadget usage to psychosocial development of school age children p = 0,027 (p <0,05). It is expected that this research can be an information material for parents and teachers about the negative impact of the influence of the use of gadgets in school-aged children on the psychosocial development of children.
