Energy intake during pregnancy is a determining factor for the health of pregnant women and the fetus they contain. Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) in the mother can increase the risk of anemia, bleeding, and infection with infectious diseases, the risk of prolonged labor, premature delivery, stunted fetal growth, miscarriage or abortion. The World Health Organization (WHO) (2018) reports that the global prevalence of anemia and CED in pregnancy is 35-75%. Data collection using primary data with univariate and bivariate analysis. The results of the study showed that there was a cultural relationship (p=0.002) with the incidence of CED in pregnant women. The conclusion is that there is a cultural relationship with the incidence of CED in pregnant women. It is recommended that the Montasik Health Center, especially midwives, can provide comprehensive information to all pregnant women during ANC visits related to the importance of maintaining maternal nutritional status during pregnancy and the dangers of KEK.
