Abstract


This study aims to determine the activity of coffee grounds to reduce mercury levels. The research begins with taking water from processing gold and coffee grounds and then cleaning the coffee grounds. Furthermore, the testing process is carried out with the system three times repetition. From the three experiments, the mercury content in the wastewater in stage I was 0.0112. Mg/L,. stage II of 0.0109. Mg/L, stage III of 0.0079. Mg/L,. After the adsorption process was carried out, the results showed that the first stage of the mercury (Hg) content was 0.0073 Mg/L, the second stage was the Mercury (Hg) content of 0.0023 Mg/L, and the third stage was the Mercury (Hg) content of 0.0073 Mg/L..
