Abstract

Immunization is one way of preventing disease through the provision of immunity. BIAS is School Child Immunization Month which is given to elementary school age children and is given in an integrated manner with School Health Business (UKS) activities. Parents are the most important factor for a child to get immunizations. The role of parents in a health program is influenced by various factors and one of them is the knowledge, attitude and behavior factor in the health program itself. This study aims to determine the knowledge, attitudes and behavior of mothers towards immunization by using a descriptive analytical observational design with a cross sectional approach. The data collection method used consecutive sampling technique. The number of research samples was 75 samples and the results showed that most of the respondents with sufficient maternal knowledge were 35 samples (46.7%) and mothers' attitudes were lacking as many as 29 samples (38.7%), and most of the respondents with sufficient maternal behavior towards immunization as many as 58 samples (77.3%). The p value in the Chi-Square test is (p = 0.003 and p = 0.001). Based on the p value, there is a relationship between knowledge and attitudes with behavior towards immunization.
