HUBUNGAN AKTIVITAS FISIK TERHADAP INDEKS MASSA TUBUH PADA MAHASISWA /I FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN ABULYATAMA

Abstract


Abstract: Physical activity is an activity performed by a person starting from the morning wake up to sleep
again night. Physical activity means that here we use muscle or frame to move the body. Body Mass Index
(IMT) is an easy way to describe obesity and overweight describes the height with body fat mass, but it is also
important to identify obese patients who are at risk of medical complications. The purpose of this research is to
know is there any relation of Physical Activity to Body Mass Index of student of Abulyatama medical force
2014. This research type is analytical descriptive with cross-sectional approach. This research was conducted
starting on June 2017, by using simple random sampling technique. The analysis used is chi-square. Based on
the results of the study it was found that of the 56 respondents most of the women (87.5%), and the age of
majority 21 years (91.1%), weight 50-60 kg (51.8%), while the height is mostly 150-160 cm (67.9% ). Most of
the Physical Activity is Light (58.9%). Most of the Body Mass Index is Normal Weight (85.7%). From the
results of Chi Square analysis p value = 0.039 which means there is a significant relationship between
Physical Activity with Body Mass Index on Students / i Faculty of Medicine, University of Abulyatama Force
2014. From the results of this study is expected to students to keep organizing physical activity to realize The
occurrence of body mass index abnormalities.
