Abstract


Abstract: Hypertension or high blood pressure is an increase in persistent pressure on arterial blood vessels, where systolic blood pressure is equal to or above 140 mmHg and diastolic pressure is equal to or above 90 mmHg. The case of hypertension resulted in a massive death of 9.4 million every year. Hypertension accounts for about 45% of deaths from ischemic heart disease and 51% from stroke. In 2015 it was noted that 299 hypertensive patients were male or 4.99% were female 293 patients with a percentage of 5%. So that the overall hypertension of Aceh Besar district in 2015 is 592 cases with percentage of 5%. Hypertension is influenced by various factors that can not be controlled and can be controlled. Factors that can not be controlled include age, gender, family history, and controls such as Body Mass Index (IMT), smoking habits, daily activities and exercise, salt intake, stress, and adequate sleep. One of the other hypertensive risk factors is the geographic location of an area. this study aims to determine the relationship of risk factors that play a role in the incidence of hypertension in coastal communities gampong sea Lamteh District Pekanbada. This research is useful to inform the villagers of Lamteh Village Pekanbada District about hypertension risk factors as a community in coastal areas, understand hypertension and try to prevent. This research type is non experimental cross sectional (crosssectional sampling) with correlation study to find the existence of relationship between dependent and independent variable. The sample in this study is all patients of villagers of Lamteh who have hypertension. The research was conducted at gampong Lamteh Pekanbada from May 9 to June 10, 2018. The result of chi quare showed that there was a significant correlation between the incidence of hypertension in Lamteh coastal community with hypertension risk factor by age of 0.003, based on sex of 0.025, based on history of 0.002 , based on the use of salt 0.003, based on smoking activity 0.003 and based on obesity 0.001. Based on this research hasl concluded that the correlation between hypertension risk factors with the incidence of hypertension in coastal communities gampong Lamteh Pekanbada
