HUBUNGAN TINGKAT KECEMASAN DENGAN KUALITAS TIDUR MENJELANG UJIAN AKHIR BLOK PADA MAHASISWA PENDIDIKAN DOKTER FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS ABULYATAMA

Abstract

Abstract: The communication ability is one of the abilities that must be possessed by a doctor, therefore the
enactment of PBl (Problem Based Learning) system, especially discussion PBL to train students in order to
communicate effectively. Individual will not have difficulty in communicate if have high confidence. The purpose of
this study to determine the relationship between self- confidence with communication skills in the discussion PBL on
the medical student of Abulyatama University 2016 year group. Methods: This research uses quntitative research
method in the form of correlation with cross sectional. The research was conducted at Medical Faculty of
Abulyatama University on 27 March 2017. Population used was from the 2016 year group with a total of 75 students.
The sample used purposive sampling and many of samples using slovin technique with 43 students. The instrument
used is questionnaire. The data was processed using SPSS (Statistical Program for Social Science) and using the chi-
square test at significance level 95% (α 0,05). Results: The results showed that there are 17 respondents with high
confidence, 26 respondents with low confidence and 23 respondents with good communication skills, 20 respondents
with less communication skills and the statistic result showed that the ρ-value =0.132 which is more than α = 0.05 (ρ
≤ 0.05). Conclusions: No relationship of self-confidence with communication skills in PBL discussion on medical
student of Abulyatama University year group 2016.
