HUBUNGAN KEBIASAAN MAKAN MAKANAN CEPAT SAJI DENGAN OBESITAS PADA MAHASISWA/I FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS ABULYATAMA

Abstract


Abstract: Fast food is food that can be obtained from outside the house that can be served with a short time. The presence of fast food in the food industry in Indonesia can affect the diet in adolescents today. Fast food consumption (fast food) is high can cause obesity because the content of fast food. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a fast food eating habits with obesity on the students of Faculty of Medicine, University of Abulyatama Year 2017. This research method is analytic observational with cross sectional approach method. The research subjects took a simple random sampling method with a total sample of 73 people. Respondents with fast food eating habits in the rare category and did not experience obesity as much as 29 (39.7%) of respondents. Fast food eating habits in the frequent category and obese as many as 11 (15.1%) of respondents. The habit of consuming fast food in the medium category and not obese as much as 8 (11,0%) of respondents. Obese respondents were 37.0%. Obese respondents in the category of frequent fast food consumption by 15.1%. Respondents in moderate category of fast food consumption were 13.7% and respondents rarely consumed fast food by 8.2%. Through statistical test it was found that p-value 0,003<0,05 then alternative Hypothesis (Ha) accepted. Based on result It can be concluded that there is a relationship of fast food eating habits with obesity in the students of Faculty of Medicine, University of Abulyatama Year 2017
