HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN IBU TENTANG IMUNISASI DENGAN CAKUPAN IMUNISASI ANAK DI PUSKESMAS LAMPASEH

Abstract

Abstract: The level of health in infants needs to get attention considering the baby or child as the next generation of the nation, it is necessary to provide immunization to reduce the morbidity and mortality rate of disease in children. This study aims to determine the relationship between mother's knowledge on immunization with immunization coverage in children at Puskesmas Lampaseh Banda Aceh. This research use analytic design with cross sectional approach. Data collection was conducted from April 2017 until July 2017 and obtained as many as 69 samples. Maternal knowledge of immunization was measured using questionnaires and for childhood immunization coverage was observed secondary data. The result of the research shows that the most knowledge of mother is knowledge of immunization  with good 52  mother (75,4%),  and  knowledge  of immunization with bad that is 17 mother (24,6%) with complete immunization of 46 children (66 , 7%) and incomplete immunization of 23 children (33.3%). Chi square test results obtained p value <0.05 (p value = 0.002), it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between mother's knowledge about immunization with the coverage of child immunization. Advice to medical personnel to be able to provide direct education to the mother about the importance of immunization in children
