HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DENGAN PERILAKU PERSONAL HYGIENE PADA SAAT MENSTRUASI DI KELAS XI SMA NEGERI 1 KEMBANG TANJONG KABUPATEN PIDIE

Abstract


Menstrual Hygiene Management (MKM) as an effort to manage personal hygiene and health in adolescent girls during menstruation. These efforts include efforts to maintain personal health and hygiene, especially regarding the reproductive organs. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between knowledge and personal hygiene behavior during menstruation in class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Kembang Tanjong. This type of research is analytical with a cross-sectional design. The population in this study were all young women at SMA Negeri 1 Kembang Tanjong in Class XI, namely 46 people. The sampling technique uses total sampling. The research results showed that the majority of respondents with insufficient knowledge were 23 people (50%), the majority of respondents with sufficient personal hygiene behavior were 21 people (45.7%). The chi-square test results obtained a P-Value of 0.026 (P ≤ 0.05). The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between knowledge and personal hygiene behavior during menstruation. Suggestion: It is hoped that teachers can encourage students to maintain personal hygiene, especially during menstruation.
