Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 15% to 20% of all births worldwide are LBW births, representing more than 20 million per year. In 2019 births with LBW were 14.9% of all births globally. LBW babies have a 20 times greater risk of death than babies born with normal weight. Data from the Montasik Community Health Center in 2022 recorded 309 pregnant women with CED conditions, 29 people with a parity of more than 4, 32 pregnant women with anemia, a history of LBW 2 people and the incidence of LBW 35 people. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between anemia KEK, ANC, parity and history of LBW with LBW in the work area of the Montasik Community Health Center. The research design used was an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. The population and sample in this study were all mothers who gave birth in the Montasik Community Health Center work area from January 2023 to May 2023, totaling 88 people. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship history of LBW (ρ value 0.000) with the incidence of LBW in the work area Montasik Community Health Center, Aceh Besar Regency in 2023. The conclusion of this research is that there is a relationship LBW with subsequent LBW events. It is hoped that pregnant women will always pay attention to their pregnancy, be aware of conditions that could cause the mother to give birth to a LBW baby.
