DETERMINAN PENYEBAB TERJADINYA ANEMIA PADA IBU HAMIL DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS LAMPUPOK KABUPATEN ACEH BESAR

Abstract


A healthy and balanced body condition during pregnancy is every mother's dream, which is the initial determining factor in giving birth to the nation's next generation of quality. A healthy pregnancy is supported by a healthy mother, one of which is adequate hemoglobin levels in the body. The World Health Organization (WHO) in 2017 revealed that as many as 48.2% on the Asian continent experienced anemia (World Health Organization, n.d.) Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health (2019), the incidence of anemia or lack of blood in pregnant women in Indonesia is still relatively high, namely 48.9 %. The aim of this research is to determine the determinants of anemia in pregnant women in the Lampupok Community Health Center Working Area, Aceh Besar Regency. This research is an analytical research with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study was all 103 pregnant women from January to March 2023. The data collection technique was Non Random Sampling using the Accidental Sampling technique, totaling 36 respondents. The analysis technique was carried out using the Chi-Square test. The research results obtained were that there was a significant relationship between the incidence of anemia and infectious diseases (p = 0.003), nutritional status (p = 0.002) and pregnancy interval (p = 0.023) in pregnant women at the Lampupok Community Health Center, Aceh Besar Regency. The conclusion is that there is a significant relationship between infectious diseases, nutritional status and pregnancy interval with the causes of anemia in pregnant women. It is hoped that the public will pay attention to the health of pregnant women, especially regarding Anemia in Pregnant Women at the Lampupok Community Health Center, Aceh Besar Regency.
