FAKTOR RESIKO KEJADIAN KATARAK DI RUMAH SAKIT PERTAMEDIKA UMMI ROSNATI

Abstract

Cataracts are one of the main causes of visual impairment in Indonesia. It is estimated that around 70%-80% of severe visual impairment and blindness in Indonesia. Objective: This study aimed to factors affecting the rate of cataract occurrence in pertamedika ummi rosnati  hospital. This is quantitative research with a descriptive correlation design and uses a cross-sectional approach. The sample used in this study was 75 respondents who suffered from cataract taken by total sampling technique. The instrument of this study was by questionnaire about factors related to the incidence of cataract. The analytical method using Kendall tau. There was a relationship between the Ada hubungan antara kejadian katarak dengan IMT 0,001, dan usia 0,002, dan faktor yang paling dominan mempengaruhi kejadian katarak yaitu bekerja diluar terpapar dengan sinar ultraviolet menunjukkan nilai signifikan 0,000 dan t-nilai 4.435. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between working outside being exposed to sunlight or ultraviolet light with cataracts.
