Respons Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Padi Sawah (Oryza sativa L.) Terhadap Pemberian Kompos Tithonia dan Jerami Padi di Kabupaten Bener Meriah

Abstract


The use of inorganic fertilizers, pesticides and the processing of land that is very intensive in rice farming can cause environmental damage, resulting in a decrease in land production capacity and soil quality and the environment, so that increasing production requires environmentally conscious technological innovations, one of them being other alternatives. namely utilizing tithonia compost and rice straw to see the growth and yield response of paddy rice in Bener Meriah districts. This study used a factorial randomized block design with two factors, compost tithonia consisting of; (a) without compost tithonia, (b) giving a dose of 2.5 tons ha-1, (c) giving a dose of 5.0 tons ha-1 and rice straw compost factors consisting of (a) without rice straw compost, (b) giving a dose of 2.5 tons ha-1, and (c) giving a dose of 5.0 tons ha-1 with three replications. The results showed that giving compost tithonia affected the growth and yield of rice. The results also showed that treatment with compost tithonia and straw compost both gave a very significant effect on the amount of rice grain, the percentage of grain content of rice, the percentage of rice grain empty and the weight of 1000 grains of rice. The best results were found in a combination of 5 tons ha-1 compost tithonia treatment and 5 tons ha-1 rice straw compost.
