Analisis Saluran Pemasaran dan Margin Pemasaran Pinang (Areca Catechu, L) Di Kecamatan Kota Bahagia Kabupaten Aceh Selatan

Abstract


Areca marketing is one of the important subsystems of the agribusiness system, The fluctuating price of areca causes farmers to face obstacles to the marketing of areca, thereby affecting the income of farmers, this is most likely due to the high marketing margins received by areca marketing institutions. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of efficiency of marketing channels in each areca commodity marketing institute and to determine the amount of areca marketing margin obtained by farmers and marketing institutions involved in Kota Bahagia Subdistrict, South Aceh Regency. Based on the results of research on the marketing channel type I areca nut in Kota Bahagia District, at the village level, traders at the village level are relatively efficient, while traders at the district level are inefficient. However, in type II channels, district level traders are already very efficient. The marketing margin received by farmers is greater than type I traders, which is 73.53%, village level collectors get a profit 4.89% and district level collectors get a profit 2.60%. Whereas in type II farmers get a profit of 73.53% and collectors at the district level take profits of 11.69%
