Pengaruh Iklim terhadap Kasus Demam Berdarah Dengue di Kota Banda Aceh

Abstract


Climate change is one of the most important factors of environmental change that can affect the risk of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) transmission. The city of Banda Aceh is a dengue endemic area with an increasing number of events every year. This study aims to determine the effect of climate  on dengue cases in Banda Aceh City. The research design used is retrospective analytic descriptive with cross sectional. The results showed that temperature (r = -0.089 and p = 0.498) and rainfall (r = 0.191 and p = 0.144) did not have a significant correlation with DHF cases in Banda Aceh City. Only the humidity factor (r = 0.312 and p = 0.015) affected the number of DHF cases in Banda Aceh City with a weak correlation strength. So it can be concluded in this study that the DHF cases in Banda Aceh City cannot be affected by climate change factors such as temperature, rainfall and humidity.
