Peran Majelis Permusyawaratan Ulama dalam Mengatasi Gerakan Radikalisme (Suatu Penelitian di Kecamatan Darul Makmur Kabupaten Nagan Raya)

Abstract

In Islamic history, ulama has a very high position and an important role in the lives of people, religions and nations. Majelis Permusyawaratan Ulama (MPU) is a council consisting of members in Islam are in a society (assembly) with certain purposes. Radicalism is an understanding that wants change, change and break-in of a system in society to its roots. This research is titled "The Role of The Ulama Consultative Assembly in Overcoming the Radkalism Movement in Darul Makmur Subdistrict, Nagan Raya Regency". This study seeks to describe the role of MPU in tackling radicalism. The problem formulation in this study is (1) What is the role of MPU in overcoming radicalism movement. (2) How society overcomes radicalism. This research uses qualitative research method with descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques using interview techniques. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The subjects in this study numbered 13 people. The results of this study show that (1) In Overcoming Radicalism, MPU plays an active role by giving understanding and advising about the teachings of Islam taught by the Prophet (2) To prevent and overcome radicalism starting from yourself and family. (3) The role of society and young people in preventing and overcoming radicalism is by deepening science, both in school and in the place of study.
