This study used descriptive and cross sectional design with a simple random sampling method. The subjects consisted of 100 patients in the Internal Medicine Polyclinic at Meuraxa Hospital, Banda Aceh. The data was analyzed by univariate and bivariate analysis using chi-square to obtain prevalence and there was/no relationship between variables. Based on the results of the research, there was 1 respondent (1.1 %) who did not have dyspepsia syndrome with a poor diet and there were 90 respondents (98.9%) who had dyspepsia syndrome with a poor diet. Then, there was 1 respondent (11.1%) who did not have dyspepsia syndrome with a right diet and there were 8 respondents (88.9%) who had dyspepsia syndrome with a right diet. Knowing that the value of P- value in the Pearson Chi-square test is 0. 041. Because the value of P-Value (0,041) <α (0, 05), thereby the decision is to reject H0. Hence, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between diet and the incidence of dyspepsia syndrome.
