Perancangan Sistem Informasi Pariwisata Berbasis Web di Pulau Weh Aceh-Sumatra

Abstract


Weh Island is located at the westernmost tip of Indonesia and has transformed into a prominent marine tourism destination. The island offers beautiful coastal scenery, but beyond its marine attractions, Weh Island also boasts mountains, lakes, and forests waiting to be explored. The tourism sector is a significant contributor to the country’s foreign exchange earnings. Indonesia is blessed with many beautiful and attractive tourist destinations, and Weh Island is one of them. Therefore, the author was inspired to design this web-based tourism information system with the aim of providing tourists with clear and accurate information. This includes details about the tourist destinations and the estimated budget or costs involved for each site they plan to visit. The application is built using PHP programming language and MySQL as the database. This web-based application was chosen to make it easier for users to access.
