IDENTIFIKASI KEANEKARAGAMAN MUSUH ALAMI DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN TANAMAN PERANGKAP DALAM MENGURANGI POPULASI KUTU KEBUL PADA PERTANAMAN CABAI MERAH

Abstract


Chili plants (Capsicum annum L) is a vegetable commodity that has important economic value for farmers. The low production of chilli peppers due to attack on chili plants such as kebul lice (Bemisia tabaci). One of the control techniques to suppress the B.ababaci population is by utilizing T.erecta and corn plants. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of trap crops on the presence of natural enemies found in pepper crops, and to determine the effect of trap plant use on the population of Bemisia tabaci. The study used a non-factorial randomized design (RAK), consisting of four treatments: T0 (as control or pepper plant only), T1 (Chili + corn), T2 (Chili + T.erecta) and T3 (Chili + Corn + T.erecta ). The results show that there are 7 species of natural enemies that function as predators of 6 species and 1 species of natural enemies that function as parasitoids. And from this research can be concluded that the use of trap crops can increase the natural enemy population in the control of the pests Bemisia tabaci on planting chili that is environmentally friendly.
