KORELASI KECERDASAN EMOSI DAN INDEKS PRESTASI AKADEMIK MAHASISWA

Abstract


Most people claimed that intelegence is an integral part of learning mathematics. Therefore, there is an argument that for achieving a good mathematics, a student must has a high level of cognitive intelegence. In the other hand, there is another intelegence that influence students achievement ,that is, emotional intelegence. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between emotional intelegence and students achievement. Survei design was used in this study. The data was collected by using Personal Scale instrument (Ulya, 2008) to measure the level of students emotional intelegence. Population in this study was 407 students of Mathematics education department of UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh with 60 students as samples. Data analyzing result  showed that  means that  The results showed that there is a significant correlation bettween emotional intelegence and students achievement.
