Potensi Kesesuaian Mangrove sebagai Daerah Ekowisata Di Gampong Baro, Kecamatan Setia Bakti, Kabupaten Aceh Jaya

Abstract


Mangrove forests are biological natural resources that provide benefits for human life and aquatic organisms. Mangrove ecosystems have ecological and economic functions in coastal areas. The Gampong Baro area has the potential to be developed into a mangrove ecotourism destination, because this area has a wide expanse of mangrove forest and has a unique aquatic biota characteristics to be developed. The purpose of this study was to identify mangrove areas as a support for ecotourism development in Gampong Baro, Setia Bakti District, Aceh Jaya Regency. This research was conducted from September to October 2020 located in Gampong Baro, Setia Bakti District, Aceh Jaya Regency. Data collection was carried out through field surveys. The results of the study found that there are 4 types of mangroves, namely: Rhizophora Apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora Stylosa, and Avicennia Marina. The value of the Tourism Suitability Index (IKW) for mangrove ecotourism in Gampong Baro is included in the appropriate category (S2) at station 1 (69.4%), station 2 (50%) and station 3 (63.8%). The total value of the total IKW for the mangrove forest area in Gampong Baro is 77.7% of the thickness of the mangrove parameters, density, species and objects of biota. This is classified in the very appropriate category (S1) which means that the potential of mangroves in the Gampong Baro area is very supportive to be used as an ecotourism destination.
