Abstract

This study was aims to find the use of fish bones to tensile pull strentgh of the concrete. The use of fish bones are made based on three variants use a mixture of concrete, that is variation 0,2%, variation 0,4% and variation 0,6%. Concrete that has been casted is tested the sides tensile strength at 14, 28, and 45 days. In the concrete aged 14 days, there was an increase exceeding the split tensile strength of normal concrete. The average split tensile strength of normal concrete achieved is 18,16 kg/cm2. The highest average compressive strength value is concrete with a percentage of 0.2% with an average split tensile strength of 26,42 kg/cm2. For concrete aged 28 and 45 days, the increase in split tensile strength did not exceed the normal concrete value. The lowest average split tensile strength value obtained was in the 45 days old concrete with a percentage of 0,2% whose value reached 20,76 kg/cm2. Based on the calculation results of data selection, the implementation quality with the smallest standard deviation value is 5,89, the characteristic compressive strength is 172,002%, and the sample variance coefficient (Cv) is 5,73%. Based on this study, it was found that fish bones can affect the split tensile strength of concrete.
