Pemahaman Konsep Siswa SD Berdasarkan Kemampuan Matematika pada Materi Segiempat

Abstract


Geometry is one of the mathematical materials taught from elementary school to college and is very useful in everyday life. However, the reality shows that the results of learning mathematics, especially geometry in elementary schools are still not satisfactory. One of them is that students whose abilities are below the class average have not been able to distinguish between quadrilaterals and non-squares. So it is necessary to conduct research that reveals students' conceptual understanding of the quadrilateral material. This study is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach that aims to describe students' understanding of the quadrilateral material based on mathematical abilities, namely high, medium and low abilities. The results showed that the understanding of each subject with high, medium and low mathematical abilities was different in completing the classification task according to their intellectual level.
