Penentuan Ekstrak Daun Kelor (Moringa oleifera) Dalam Menurunkan Glukosa Darah Pada Tikus Hiperglikemik Di Laboratorium

Abstract


Moringa leaf extract in different doses can be influential in lowering blood glucose levels. This study aimed to determine the effect of Moringa leaf extract on blood glucose levels in hyperglycemic rats. Implementation of research conducted at the Laboratory of Pathology and Pharmacology Department of Clinical Veterinary Faculty of Veterinary Medicine University of Syiah Kuala. The method used is the experimental method completely randomized design of four treatments and five replications. Treatment A = Negative control (given distilled water and physiological NaCl), B = positive control (75 mg / kg alloxan and incubated for 21 days), C (75 mg / kg alloxan and 150 mg / kg extract of leaves of Moringa for 21 day), and D (75 mg / kg alloxan and 450 mg / kg of Moringa leaf extract for 21 days). Parameters measured were blood glucose levels. The results showed that the extract of leaves of Moringa (Moringa oleifera) at a dose of 150 mg / kg decrease in blood glucose levels more slowly than that of Moringa leaf extract at a dose of 450 mg/kg.
