Rancang Bangun Tungku Penukar Kalor Menggunakan Pipa Spiral dengan Bahan Bakar Biomassa

Abstract


The purpose of this research is to design a heat exchanger furnace to produce hot air that will be functioned in a drying oven for agricultural and plantation products. The method used in this study refers to the descriptive method of research that is carried out systematically, factually and accurately. The research was carried out in a mechanical laboratory at the University of Abulyatama Technical Study Program. The results of this heat exchanger furnace test show that the average temperature in the furnace is 3400C and the average output temperature released by the spiral pipe is 1890C with a combustion time of 5 hours 10 minutes with an amount of biomass fuel 11 kg. This temperature output is then forwarded to the drying oven so that it can be used to reduce moisture from grains, fruits from agriculture and plantations.
