Abstrak

Abstract: The diversity of food in consumption patterns is something that needs to be considered toensure the adequacy of the nutrients needed in the body, but the level of community dependence onrice has not changed even though agricultural products in Indonesia are so diverse. Therefore,alternative foodstuffs began to be developed due to the increasing demand for food. One of thetubers that has been developed is porang. Porang is a tuber plant that has high economic value andcontains carbohydrates. Based on the results of community service activities regarding thesocialization of porang plant cultivation, it showed that the participants did not know the type ofporang plant but with this activity they admitted that they were happy because they could provideinsight and knowledge and improve community expertise about porang plant cultivation.
