HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN IBU DENGAN PEMBERIAN AIR SUSU IBU (ASI) EKSLUSIF TERHADAP TUMBUH KEMBANG BALITA DI BLUD RUMAH SAKIT IBU DAN ANAK (RSIA) BANDA ACEH

Abstrak

Abstract: Basic health research data shows that infants given exclusively breastfed nationally are 54.3%. This datais still far from the government's achievement target of 80%. The low level of exclusive breastfeeding amongbreastfeeding mothers is due to a lack of knowledge of mothers about exclusive breastfeeding, healthcare skills onhow to provide breastfeeding information and advice and the number of mothers who have jobs outside the home.This study to know whether there is a correlation between mother's knowledge level with exclusive breastfeeding totoddler growth at BLUD Child and Maternal Hospital (RSIA) Banda Aceh 2018. Research method is used analyticwith cross sectional study design. Sampling using accidental sampling technique with questionnaires that have beendesigned. The result is mother's knowledge of exclusive breastfeeding in BLUD Child and Maternal Hospital (RSIA)Banda Aceh is mostly in the good category that is 55 respondents (91, 7%), growth of toddler are in good categorythat is 26 respondents (40.0%). Out of 43 respondents with good knowledge, there are 20 toddler (43,3%). Thisstudy can be concluded there is no correlation between mother's knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding andtoddler growth in BLUD Child and Maternal Hospital (RSIA) Banda Aceh 2018, where it is found that p-value0,554> 0.05. It is expected that mothers are more active in accessing information about exclusive breastfeeding forbabies especially on infants and toddlers development.
