AKSI IKLIM PEMBERSIHAN PANTAI DALAM MENINGKATKAN KESADARAN LINGKUNGAN BERSIH DI PANTAI SYIAH KUALA BANDA ACEH

Abstract

The rapid development of tourism in the Syiah Kuala Beach area of Banda Aceh has various positive and negative impacts. Negative impacts in the form of various problems that can be caused by both local residents and visitors, one of which is garbage, such as in the Syiah Kuala Beach area of Banda Aceh. One thing that can overcome this is the need for awareness of the local community and visitors to maintain environmental cleanliness. To overcome the garbage problem, STIES Lecturers and BEM STIES collaborated with several National and International organizations including CEUDAH (Asian Friendship Society of Aceh), JAFS (Japan American, Friendship Scholars) and AFS (Asian Friendship Society) to clean the Syiah Kuala Beach in Banda Aceh which aims to increase public understanding of collecting garbage based on the nature of the type of garbage itself, namely recycle, plastic, residue, B3 and metal waste. The results of the collection of 5 types of garbage consisting of 15 bags. Through this action, cleanliness around the beach is better maintained and there is an increase in awareness of the local community and visitors to keep the beach environment cleaner and more comfortable
