Abstract

The proportion of births by Sectio Caesarea in the last decade has increased rapidly. The indications for Sectio Caesarea are broadly divided into two: maternal and fetal factors. In 2007 the percentage of Sectio Caesarea in Aceh reached 23.6%, this percentage far exceeds the WHO standard of about 5%-15% per 1000 births in the world. In 2022 at Peukan Bada Health Center there were 83.2% of mothers who delivered with Sectio Caesarea. This study aims to determine the determinants of the causes of Partus Sectio Caesarea in the working area of Puskesmas Peukan Bada Aceh Besar District. The research method used is an analytical research method with a cross sectional approach, the population used is all mothers giving birth with Sectio Caesarea in January-June 2023 totaling 38 people. The sampling technique was carried out by total sampling. Data collection was done by distributing questionnaires. Data analysis using primary and secondary data analyzed by univariate and bivariate processed using a computerized system with the Chi-Square test. In the results of statistical analysis there is a significant relationship between knowledge (p=0.037), education (p-=0.02) and previous labor history (p=0.039) with the cause of Sectio Caesarea. The results of this study showed a relationship between knowledge, education and previous childbirth history with the incidence of Sectio Caesarea. It is expected that mothers can maintain pregnancy and childbirth and increase knowledge about the causes of Sectio Caesarea so that the delivery process runs smoothly and the mother can deliver her baby safely.
