PENYEBAB INFERTILITAS KARENA GANGGUAN MENSTRUASI DAN RIWAYAT PENYAKIT PADA PASANGAN USIA SUBUR (PUS) DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS BLANG BINTANG KABUPATEN ACEH BESAR

Abstract

Infertility is a disorder of the reproductive system that can cause the inability to conceive in women aged more than 35 years after 12 months or six months of active sexual intercourse at least 2-3 times a week regularly without using contraception. Based on data from Puskesmas Blang Bintang for the period January to April 2024 there were 2097 couples of childbearing age and 92 infertile couples. This study aims to determine the causes of infertility due to menstrual disorders and a history of disease in Fertile Age Couples (PUS) in the Blang Bintang Health Centre Working Area, Aceh Besar Regency. This type of research is analytic with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all PUS mothers in the Blang Bintang Health Centre Working Area of Aceh Besar Regency, namely 92 PUS. The sampling technique was total sampling. This study analysed data univariately and bivariately and processed using the Chi-Square test statistical test. The results showed that there was an association of menstrual disorders (p value = 0.026) and a history of disease (p value = 0.001) with the incidence of infertility in couples of childbearing age in the working area of Puskesmas Blang Bintang Aceh Besar Regency in 2024. Conclusion There is a relationship between menstrual disorders, and a history of infertility in PUS (Fertile Age Couples) in the Working Area of Puskesmas Blang Bintang Aceh Besar Regency in 2024. It is expected that health workers can provide comprehensive education to mothers to provide various kinds of education related to infertility.
