HUBUNGAN DUKUNGAN KELUARGA TERHADAP KEPATUHAN MINUM OBAT PADA PASIEN GANGGUAN JIWA DI POLIKLINIK RS JIWA

Abstract


Adherence to taking medication correctly is an absolute obligation for people with mental illness so that their illness is controlled, able to live a normal life, perform social functions, and remain productive. Medication is needed to balance the neuro transmitter, dopamine hormone, serotonine hormone in the brain that is unstable. This instability is what gives rise to symptoms of mental disorders, such as hallucinations, delusions, and others. Family and community support for patients with mental disorders is able to make patients feel loved and valued. The purpose of the study was to determine the form of family support for patients with mental disorders in maintaining patient compliance with taking medication. Research with quantitative desaian, which was conducted on April 11-13, 2024.with a sample of 54 patients in the hospital. Suggestions that families can provide support and attention to patients with mental disorders to be more enthusiastic in undergoing treatment.
