PENGARUH DURASI PENGGUNAAN KOMPUTER TERHADAP KEJADIAN COMPUTER VISION SYNDROM (CVS) PADA PEGAWAI KANTOR DI LINGKUP KOTA BANDA ACEH
Abstract
The use of computer technology, including laptops, has become an integral part of daily life, especially among employees. Employees often spend significant time in front of a laptop screen to work on assignments, study materials and communicate online. However, prolonged laptop use can lead to various health problems, including Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS). This study aims to examine the relationship between the duration of laptop use and complaints of Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) in Banda Aceh City Office Employees. This study used a cross sectional approach where data were collected using questionnaires distributed to 76 respondents who were employees. The results showed that most respondents used laptops in the moderate category (2-4 hours) with 42 people (55.3%), while only a small proportion used laptops in the heavy category (>4 hours) with 16 people (21.1%). Nevertheless, the majority of respondents, 74 people (97.4%) experienced CVS complaints, while only 2 people (2.6%) did not feel these complaints. Statistical analysis showed that there was no significant relationship between the duration of laptop use and CVS complaints.
