PERKEMBANGAN ANAK USIA TODLER (1-3 TAHUN) DI COT BEUT

Abstract


Low birth weight (LBW) babies would have growth and development disorder in his life. Growth and development in toddler age (1-3 years) are influenced by various factors. This study aims to determine the relationship between sex, nutritional status, family’s economic status, parental education, and parental stimulation with the rate of growth and development of children in toddler age (1-3 years) whose born with LBW. Methods this study used analytic observational study with cross sectional approach. Hypothesis testing in this study using Chi Square and Colmogorov Smirnov. The sample size were 35 children. Result the results showed most of respondents were girls (65.7%), malnutrition status (57.1%), low economic status (51.4%), lower parental education level (57.1 %), and less parental stimulation (51.4%). Factors that have a significant relationship to the child's growth rate, there were nutritional status (p value = 0.000, α = 0.05), family economic’s status (p value = 0.000, α = 0.05), parental education (p value = 0.003, α = 0.05), and stimulation from the parents (p value = 0.000, α = 0,05). Whereas factors that have a significant relationship to the child’s developmental level, there were parental education (p value = 0.009, α = 0.05) and parental stimulation (p value = 0.000, α = 0,05). Conclusion this study was suggested to health workers could give health education continuously for parents about the impacts and learned how to prevented complications caused by LBW births.
