Abstract

This study aims to research the production performance of broil quail which is given carrot extract in drinking water. The stage of the research consisted of the process of making carrot extract and the maintenance process of broil quail. The material used in this research were 96 male 15-day-old broil quail. This method uses was experimental design with completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatmens and four replications. The treatment levels of carrot extract given in 350 ml of drinking water are as follows P0 (0 ml carrot extract); P1 (5 ml carrot extract); P2 (10 ml carrot extract); P3 (15 ml carrot extract). The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance with the F test. The results showed that the addition of carrot extract in drinking water at a level of 10 ml gave the best growth performance of broil quail, with the amount of feed consumption decreased by 15.41 g/day/head, Optimal quail weight gain at 24.25 g/week and feed conversion results is 4.58.
