Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Ibu dalam Pemberian Asi Eksklusif di Puskesmas Lampulo Kota Banda Aceh
Abstract
Breastfeeding has an important role to support the growth, health and survival of babies because breast milk is rich in nutrients and antibodies. The Indonesian government through the Ministry of Health also recommends mothers to exclusively breastfeed their babies for 6 months. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence mothers in exclusive breastfeeding at Lampulo Health Center Banda Aceh. The type of research was analytic with a cross sectional study design consisting of 43 samples, namely mothers who had children aged 0-6 months who breastfed. The sampling technique is total sampling. The instruments used include respondents' demographic data, exclusive breastfeeding, knowledge consisting of 10 items, perception consisting of 20 questions, health condition consisting of 8 questions, the results of which use dichotomy choice and a Likert scale. This study uses univariate analysis and bivariate analysis which is presented in a cross table. The research was conducted at the Lampulo Health Center in Banda Aceh City on…. June 2021. The results of the study based on univariate found that age was in the 25-35 year category (65.1%), knowledge was in the good category (74.4%), perception was in the poor category (55.8%), health condition was in the category good (62.8%), and exclusive breastfeeding in the yes category (53.5%). Meanwhile, by bivariate analysis, it is known that there is a relationship between maternal age, knowledge and maternal health conditions with exclusive breastfeeding with p value (0.004. 0.000, 0.000), while there is no relationship between perception and exclusive breastfeeding with p value (0.760). It is hoped that mothers can increase the level of mother's knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding by conducting counseling with more effective methods, namely by using media that can help success in counseling, for example through infocus tools, klipchart, leaflets etc.
