Abstract

In meeting good software standards, testing of software quality is required. Usability is one of the aspects of software quality that needs to be tested, usability testing is also a way to obtain a benchmark for quality that examines and measures how easy the display (interface) is used by users. Likewise, the Academic Information System in this case is KRS Online which is the main portal for distributing information must have a good website quality, especially in the usability aspect considering that not a few students are unfamiliar with information technology who are users of the website. One of the latest technologies introduced for testing is the usability test method, namely a testing method assisted in determining the extent of student knowledge and experience in using the KRS Online application. In this study the author will try to evaluate usability testing on the SIAKAD website and complete the test results on aspects that cannot be tested using a questionnaire. Based on the results of the study, this study has successfully conducted tests on 22 respondents consisting of students from 2015 to 2018. Meanwhile, the test results, the failure rate in the UT-2, UT-4, and UT-10 tests with an achievement of >80% of respondents failed to answer. For failure rates above 30% in the UT-13, UT-11, UT-9, and UT-5 tests, the NAU Questionnaire results indicate a very satisfied interpretation of 14, satisfied 1, somewhat satisfied 2, and dissatisfied 1. The dissatisfied interpretation of question code ER14, "I couldn't find the menu I was looking for," was also quite satisfied for codes ER12 and ER13, all three of which represent error dimensions.
