Hubungan Stres Dengan Prevalensi Akne Vulgaris Pada Siswa SMA Swasta Abulyatama Kelas XI Dan XII

Abstract

Skin disorders that are often found in adolescents are acne vulgaris (AV). AV is inflammation of the pilosebase follicles manifesting comedones, nodules, papules, and pustules. One of the causes of acne vulgaris is stress. Stress is tension facing a stressor. The physical maturation process occurs faster than the mental maturation process so that teens will be more vulnerable to being exposed to stress. This study aims to determine the relationship of stress with AV prevalence in students of Abulyatama Private High School class XI and XII 2018/2019 academic year. This study uses a cross sectional correlation analysis design with sampling of students of class XI and XII Abulyatama Private High School by purposive sampling, amounting to 60 people who met the inclusion criteria. Stress was measured using questionnaires and acne diagnosed through questionnaires and photo. Data analysis used the Chi-Square test as a correlation test. The results of the study were processed using SPSS, obtained a value of p = 0,0001 which means there is a significant relationship between stress and the prevalence of AV or alternative hypothesis (Ha) accepted. the conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between stress and the prevalence of acne vulgaris significantly using SPSS, obtained p value = 0,0001 thus the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted.
