PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP IBU TETANG PENANGANAN DEMAM DI RUMAH PADA ANAK USIA DI BAWAH 5 TAHUN

Abstrak

Abstract:Fever is a clinical sign of disease in children and it often faced by health workers. Fever caused by theinclusion of a pyrogen substances into the body thus changing the set-point in the hypothalamus to produce heat andhot conversion and cause serious effects such as dehydration. This study aims to determine the relationship ofknowledge with maternal attitudes about handling a fever at home in infants. Research methodology: The study is ananalytic with cross sectional design . The population in the study are the mothers who lived in the Gla DayahVillage, district Barona Jaya, Aceh Besar. The samples in this study amounted 81 respondens. Collecting data in thisstudy is Stratified Random Sampling .Result: Knowledge measurements acquired knowledgeable is 46 respondentswhile less knowledge is 35 respondents. Attitude measurements got 70 respondents are well behave and 11respondents are less. From the statistical test using Fisher 's Exant test can be concluded that mothers who have agood knowledge and good attitude are 43 respondents.Conclusion: There is a relation between knowledge withattitude of mother about the handling of a fever at home in infants.
