Author Guidelines

Authors must prepare their manuscripts according to the guidelines below and the Manuscript Template. Manuscripts that do not follow these guidelines will be returned to the authors before review.

1. General Requirements

  • The manuscript is original, has not been published, and is not under consideration by another journal.
  • The manuscript falls within the Focus and Scope: economics and business, law, and social, cultural, and public policy studies.
  • Article types: original research articles and review articles.
  • Manuscripts are written in English only, using clear academic language. Authors are encouraged to have the manuscript proofread before submission.
  • Length: 4,500–7,000 words, including tables and figures, excluding references.
  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx), A4 paper, prepared with the Manuscript Template.
  • Similarity index is checked with Turnitin; see the Plagiarism Policy.
  • The use of generative AI must follow the AI Policy.

2. Manuscript Structure

  • Title: concise and informative, maximum 15 words.
  • Authors: full names without academic titles, affiliation (department, institution, city, country), and the corresponding author's e-mail. ORCID iD is recommended.
  • Abstract: 150–250 words in one paragraph, covering purpose, method, results, and conclusion. No citations.
  • Keywords: 3–5 words or phrases.
  • Introduction: background, literature review and research gap (state of the art), novelty, and research objectives, without subheadings.
  • Method: research design, data and sources, sample, instruments, and analysis techniques. Legal research describes the approach and legal materials used. Research involving human participants must include an ethics statement: the ethical clearance number and year from the relevant ethics committee, or a statement that informed consent was obtained and ethical standards were followed (see Publication Ethics).
  • Results and Discussion: findings supported by tables or figures, interpreted and compared with previous studies.
  • Conclusion: answers to the research objectives, implications, limitations, and suggestions for further research, written in paragraphs (no bullet points).
  • Acknowledgment (optional): funding sources and contributors.
  • References.

3. Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures are placed in the text near their first mention and numbered consecutively (Table 1, Figure 1).
  • Table titles are placed above the table; figure titles are placed below the figure. The source is stated when the data are not the author's own.
  • Figures must be clear and readable (minimum 300 dpi).

4. Citations and References (IEEE Style)

  • Citations and references follow the IEEE style. In-text citations use numbers in square brackets, e.g. [1], [2], [3]–[5], numbered in order of appearance.
  • Only works cited in the text are listed in the references, and every cited work must appear in the references.
  • A minimum of 20 references, of which at least 80% are primary sources (journal articles and proceedings) published in the last 10 years.
  • Include the DOI for each reference when available.
  • Authors are required to use a reference manager such as Mendeley or Zotero with the IEEE style.

5. Submission

  • Manuscripts are submitted online via Make a Submission. Authors must register and log in first.
  • For double-blind review, the manuscript file must not contain author names or affiliations; author data are entered only in the submission form.
  • A signed Statement of Originality must be uploaded as a supplementary file.
  • The review process is described in the Peer Review Process. There are no submission or publication fees (Article Processing Charge).

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration by another journal.
  • The manuscript is written in English and prepared with the Journal Humaniora Manuscript Template in Microsoft Word format.
  • The manuscript follows the structure and the IEEE citation style described in the Author Guidelines, with a minimum of 20 references (at least 80% primary sources from the last 10 years) and DOIs where available.
  • The manuscript file has been anonymized (no author names, affiliations, or acknowledgments that reveal identity) for double-blind review.
  • A signed Statement of Originality is uploaded as a supplementary file.
  • Where the research involves human participants, an ethics statement (ethical clearance number and year, or a statement of informed consent and compliance with ethical standards) is included in the Methods section.
  • All authors have approved the submission, and the use of AI tools (if any) is disclosed in line with the AI Policy.

Authors who publish in Jurnal Humaniora agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain the copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
  2. Authors may enter into separate, non-exclusive arrangements for distributing the published version of the work (e.g., posting it to an institutional repository or publishing it in a book), with acknowledgment of its initial publication in this journal.
  3. Authors are permitted to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their websites) before and after publication.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
