AI Policy

Jurnal Humaniora follows the COPE position on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in research and publication.

For Authors

  • AI tools (such as ChatGPT or similar large language models) cannot be listed as authors, because they cannot take responsibility for the work.
  • Authors may use AI tools to improve language and readability, provided they review and edit the output and remain fully responsible for the content.
  • Any use of AI tools beyond language editing (for example, in data analysis, generating text, or creating figures) must be disclosed in the Methods or Acknowledgments section, stating the tool used and its purpose.
  • Authors must not use AI tools to fabricate data, references, or results.

For Reviewers and Editors

  • Manuscripts under review are confidential and must not be uploaded to AI tools.
  • Reviewers and editors remain fully responsible for their assessments and decisions and must not rely on AI tools to write review reports or make editorial decisions.
