Plagiarism Policy
Jurnal Humaniora is committed to publishing only original work. All submitted manuscripts are checked for similarity using Turnitin.
When the check is performed:
- At initial screening, before peer review.
- Before layout, after the final revision.
Similarity thresholds (excluding the reference list, properly cited direct quotations, and small matches):
| Similarity score | Action |
|---|---|
| ≤ 20% | Manuscript proceeds to the next stage |
| 21–30% | Manuscript is returned to the authors for revision and re-checked |
| > 30% | Manuscript is rejected |
In addition, similarity with any single source must not exceed 3%.
Plagiarism detected after publication will be handled in accordance with the COPE guidelines, which may result in a correction or retraction of the article.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work is original, that all sources are properly cited, and that the manuscript has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
